Demolition

Winsulate draws on more than 25 years’ experience in the specialist field of demolition.
We have executed numerous projects in that time, including removing structures as diverse as Manchester’s Printworks in the wake of the IRA bombing, to an industry-first dismantling of a Nuclear Tritium Processing Plant.
Despite our extremely diverse portfolio of projects, one common factor governs every project we undertake: the safety of our workforce, the public and any neighbouring structures. No other criteria override this principle, and to this end we work in accordance with current legislation including BS 6187:2000 – Code of practice for Demolition and Construction (Design and Management regulations 2007).
Our Specialist Areas of Expertise include:
Commercial & City Centre Demolition; Dismantling and demolition of Industrial Sites; Brownfield Reclamation; Nuclear Sites; Road and Rail Infrastructure; Multi-Storey; and Petrochemical Environmental Care and Recycling.
A high proportion of waste sent to landfill is accounted for by construction materials.
At Winsulate we see demolition as a significant opportunity. Materials such as lead, copper and scrap metals can have a significant market value, and many others can be recycled rather than spent.
We also work to minimise the impact of demolition work on the environment, both at immediate site level and throughout the project area.
All of the work Winsulate UK Limited undertakes complies to ISO14001 Environmental standard. We also ensure that environmental awareness cascades throughout the business, and not just at site level.
