Asbestos Surveys

Checking for asbestos in your building isn’t just a sensible idea – it’s the law.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 demands that Duty Holders protect their staff and others. Failure to do so can make you liable to prosecution.

Winsulate can survey your property and assess it for the presence of asbestos. This service is available for anything from a single workplace survey through to multi-site audits.

Management Survey: The most common type of survey, it is executed in accordance with, and at a density indicated in, HSG264 - Asbestos: The Survey Guide. Samples are then analysed by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory. This more in-depth survey provides a firmer basis for risk assessments.

Refurbishment / Demolition Survey: This full-access intrusive survey includes reasonably accessible sealed voids and the non-structural fabric of a building. Refurbishment/demolition surveys are usually a precursor to demolition (or indeed refurbishment). By law, all buildings must have a refurbishment/demolition survey before they can be demolished.
